Final Erie Times-News Breakout Volleyball Player of the Week nominees

Fans can vote for the Breakout Volleyball Player of the Week on the top right corner of the page. Voting continues through Tuesday at 11:59 p.m. with the winner being featured in Thursday’s edition of the Erie Times-News. Nominations are based on results called into the Erie Times-News. Players who have won the award this season are no longer eligible. This will be the final poll of the season.

Leah Vensel, McDowell – Had 17 assists and 5 digs in a sweep of Mercyhurst Prep in the D-10 Class AAA championship. She then had 31 assists in a sweep of DuBois in a PIAA subregional.
Challen Litwiler, Linesville – Finished with 36 kills and 9 digs in two matches Saturday to help the Lions win the District 10 Class A championship.
Lindsey Jahn, General McLane – Put together 11 kills and 12 blocks in replacing Aspen Weber during the Lancers’ three-set loss to Fort LeBoeuf in the D-10 Class AA championship.
Ashley Shuttleworth, Sharpsville – Had 19 kills and 11 digs during Class A pool play on Tuesday.
Stormie Hockenberry, Slippery Rock – Collected 12 kills during Class AA pool play on Thursday.
Lauren Lubarski, Hickory – Had 31 kills and 28 digs in the District 10 Class AA pool play Thursday.
