Erie Times-News Breakout Basketball Player of the Week nominees

Fans can vote for the Breakout Basketball Players of the Week on the top right corner of the page. Voting continues through Tuesday at 11:59 p.m. with the winner being featured later this week in the Erie Times-News. Nominations are based on results called into the Erie Times-News. Fans are encouraged to submit nominations of players by Saturday night and coaches are encouraged to call in every result throughout the season. Players who have won the award this season are no longer eligible.

Boys
Cory Bailey, North East – Scored 21 points in a 41-24 win over Fairview.
Jaymon Mason, General McLane – Continued his impressive junior season with 25 points in an 83-55 win over Fort LeBoeuf. He also had 16 points in a 70-55 win over Central Tech.
Delton Williams, Cathedral Prep – Started the week with nine points in a 60-59 win over Strong Vincent before recording 10 points and 13 rebounds, including the game-winning layup, in a thrilling 47-45 win over McDowell.
Alex Borges, Mercyhurst Prep – Scored 19 points to help the Lakers beat Seneca 60-38. He also had 13 points in a 55-30 win over Iroquois and 22 points in a 53-46 win over Central Tech.
Josh Santillan, McDowell – Had a season-high 28 points in a 76-63 win over George Junior.
Alex Hoban, Union City – Finished with 22 points, including four 3-pointers and 17 in the second half, in a 46-43 win over Maplewood. He also had 22 points in a 67-47 win over Youngsville.
Matthew Dogan, West Middlesex - Exploded for 32 points in a 71-52 win over Rocky Grove.
Andrew Gibson, Fairview – Connected on five 3-pointers on his way to 20 points in a 54-35 win over Saegertown.
Nolan Varee, Conneaut Valley – Scored 28 points in a 61-33 win over Tidioute Charter.
DeAndrye Henderson, Strong Vincent – Had 21 points in a 73-64 win over George Junior.
Isaac Mattson, Harbor Creek - Collected a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds in a 51-35 win over East.
Donte Hollingsworth, Meadville – Scored 21 points in a 63-50 win over Hickory.

Girls
Karlee McBride, Villa Maria – Scored 21 points in a 61-22 win over Seneca.
Haley Schaef, Northwestern – Connected on eight 3-pointers on her way to 32 points in a 52-34 win over Union City.
Taylor Lindquist, McDowell – Scored 14 points in a win over East before recording 17 points and eight rebounds in an impressive win over State College.
Rachel Burns, Kennedy Catholic – Finished with 20 points in a 71-32 win over Commodore Perry.
Alanna Elliott, Wilmington – Erupted for 35 points in a 71-43 win over Reynolds.
Karmella Kienholz, Harbor Creek – Scored 21 points, including five 3-pointers, in a loss to North East.
Lindsey Jahn, General McLane – Had an all-around solid performance with 11 points, 14 rebounds and five steals in a 65-26 win over Fort LeBoeuf.
Victoria Harrison, Commodore Perry – Scored 21 points in an important 52-48 win over West Middlesex.
Jaimie Eaton, Warren – Finished with 22 points in a 68-33 win over Corry.
Tanayja Sanders, Sharon – Scored 23 points in a 71-45 win over Mercer.
Holly Grober, Hickory – Had 16 points and 12 rebounds in a 61-26 win over Titusville.
Sarah Graham, Seneca – Scored 20 points in a 45-25 win over Northwestern.
Corianne Hyduchak, Grove City – Finished with 24 points in a 46-39 win over Meadville.
