Fans are encouraged to submit nominations of teams by Tuesday night and coaches are encouraged to call in every result throughout the season.
Greenville boys tennis – The Trojans are off to a solid start at 3-0 and have a huge match with Kennedy Catholic on Monday.
Warren boys tennis – The Dragons are 7-0 and look like a big threat to Fairview this season for not only the Region 2 title but the District 10 Class AA team title. The first Fairview-Warren showdown is on Saturday.
Cathedral Prep tennis – The Ramblers are 3-0 and have already knocked off rival McDowell once.
Maplewood boys volleyball – The Tigers knocked off Saegertown in their first match of the season.
Seneca track and field – The Bobcats started the season at 2-0 in boys and girls sweeps on Tuesday.
McDowell track and field – The Trojans swept Mercyhurst Prep and Central Tech on Tuesday to start the season at 2-0.
Titusville softball – The Rockets are off to a 5-0 start and are poised to make a run at the Region 2 championship.
Saegertown softball – The Panthers moved to 7-0 overall and 5-0 in Region 3 with a thrilling 10-4 win over Maplewood in nine innings on Monday.
Fairview softball – The Tigers routed Girard 10-0 in six innings on Tuesday to move to 4-0. Fairview has not played a seven-inning game this year with three 10-run wins and one extra-inning win over Youngsville.
Northwestern softball - The Wildcats moved to 4-0 with an 18-4 win over Seneca on Tuesday.
Iroquois softball – The Braves are 3-0 this season and have a huge game with Fairview on Thursday.
McDowell softball – The Trojans picked up a huge 6-2 win over Corry on Tuesday to move into sole possession of first place.
Warren softball - The Dragons are 4-0 this season and have an important showdown with McDowell on Thursday.
Sharon baseball - The Tigers are on fire to start the year at 5-0 and will likely remain unbeaten when they run into Sharpsville on Monday for first place in Region 2.
Sharpsville baseball – The Blue Devils moved to 4-0 on Monday with a 13-0 win over Rocky Grove.
Saegertown baseball – The Panthers defeated Maplewood 11-0 in five innings on Monday to improve to 8-0. Saegertown has mercy-ruled every District 10 opponent this season.
Warren baseball – The Dragons are still in the early part of their schedule at 2-0. Warren hosts Class AAAA Strong Vincent today before road games at Girard and Harbor Creek.
