Kevin Pugliese, Hickory – Erupted for five hits, including three doubles, while driving in three runs in a thrilling 16-11 win over West Middlesex in eight innings.
Grayden Emhoff, Mercer - Had a three-run home run, a double and finished with five RBIs in a 13-0 win over Jamestown.
Mike Ginther, West Middlesex – Struck out 13 and limited Rocky Grove to five hits in an important 6-2 win.
Kevin Yarabinec, Sharpsville – Drilled a two-out, two-run triple in the ninth inning to give the Blue Devils a 6-4 win over Hickory. Yarabinec also tossed 52/3 innings of impressive relief on the mound, including escaping several jams with the winning run on base.
Ryan Northcott, Cochranton – Struck out 11 and allowed three hits in a 6-2 win over Conneaut Valley.
Brendon Evans, Franklin – Had two extra-base hits, including a home run, and drove in three runs to lead the Knights to a 15-0 win over East.
Randy Kaliszewski, Strong Vincent - Homered and drove in four runs to lead the Colonels to a 10-7 win over Oil City.
Tyler Cochran, Oil City – Drilled an RBI double in the bottom of the eighth inning to give the Oilers a 7-6 walkoff win over Slippery Rock.
Adam Bleday, Titusville – Struck out a school-record 23 batters in a 2-0 nine-inning win over Youngsville. Bleday has 53 strikeouts in 23 innings this season.
Zack Borsa, McDowell – Allowed one hit and struck out nine in an 8-0 shutout effort over Meadville.
Zach LaRocca, Fairview - Tossed a three-hitter, including 10 strikeouts, in an 8-1 win over Northwestern.
Derrick Post, Mercyhurst Prep – Struck out 11 in a shutout effort on the mound to lead the Lakers to an impressive 2-0 win over Titusville.
Kody Kondrlik, Cathedral Prep – Had three hits, drove in three runs and scored twice in an 11-4 win over Commodore Perry. He finished a triple short of the cycle.
Sean White, Slippery Rock - Struck out six and allowed three hits in six shutout innings to help the Rockets beat Reynolds 5-0.
Aaron Lundmark, Eisenhower – Drove in four runs on two hits to help the Knights beat North East 10-6. He then drove in three runs on two hits in a 12-2 win over Iroquois.
Cory Craig, Youngsville – Had 16 strikeouts in eight innings in a 2-0 loss to Titusville.
Tyler Engle, Corry – Had three hits, including two doubles, and drove in a run during the Beavers’ 5-2 win over Central Tech.
Hank Morrison, Warren – Had two doubles, a triple and drove in two runs during an 11-1 win over Strong Vincent.
Mike Lockhart, Fort LeBoeuf – Hammered two home runs and drove in five runs in a 17-5 win over Corry.
Kristy Roberts, Sharpsville - Went 4-for-4 at the plate, including a triple, with three runs scored in a 7-4 win over Union.
Emily Swartz, Mercer – Had three hits in a 7-5 win over Slippery Rock.
Chelsea Marriott, Hickory – The freshman had three hits, including a home run, and four RBIs in an 8-3 win over Jamestown.
Taylor Gilliland, West Middlesex - Drilled an RBI triple in the bottom of the eighth inning to give the Big Reds a 7-6 win over Sharpsville.
Annie Papa, Kennedy Catholic – Hit for the cycle and scored three times in a 7-4 loss to Rocky Grove.
Christina Rice, Franklin – Went 3-for-3 with two RBIs in a 12-1 win over Grove City.
Shelby Latshaw, Rocky Grove – Struck out nine of the 10 batters she faced in a three-inning no-hitter over Farrell. The Orioles won 17-0. She then struck out 16 in a 7-4 win over Kennedy Catholic.
Meghan Martin, Iroquois – Tossed a perfect game in a 10-0 win over Girard, including 10 strikeouts. She also hit a home run against Youngsville earlier int he week.
Kristen Kargol, Cambridge Springs – Drilled a game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning to lead the Blue Devils to a 6-5 win over Lakeview.
Rylee Shaffer, Northwestern - Had four hits and three RBIs in an 18-4 win over Seneca.
Kaitlyn Babe, Seneca – Was a double short of the cycle and drove in two runs in an 18-4 loss to Northwestern.
Raven Rozantz, Fairview – Started the week with 11 strikeouts in four innings while allowing one hit in a 10-0 win over Girard. She then struck out 13 in a 10-0 shutout of Iroquois. Rozantz finished her week with a no-hitter against Northwestern, while collecting three hits at the plate.
Christina Lachina, Strong Vincent – Needed only a double to complete the cycle in a 14-7 win over Central Tech. She scored three times and drove in three runs. Lachina then hits three triples in a 16-0 win over East.
Crystal Flagg, McDowell – Had two RBI singles in an impressive 6-2 win over Corry.
Alexa Bupp, Warren – Continued her dominant play on the mound with a 1-0 shutout of Fort LeBoeuf and a 2-0 shutout of McDowell.
McKenzie Fails, Girard – Was a triple shy of the cycle and pitched a four-hitter to lead the YellowJackets to a 5-4 win over Eisenhower.
Cassie Pietkiewicz, Fort LeBoeuf – Had three hits and drove in three runs in a 9-4 win over Mercyhurst Prep.
Tori Prather, North East – Finished with three hits, including a triple, and two RBIs in an 8-2 win over General McLane. She also went 4-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored in a 12-0 win over Seneca.
Belle Mazurik, Saegertown – Had three hits, runs and RBIs in a 17-2 win over Cambridge Springs.
Track and Field
Clayton Stoyer, Reynolds – Won both hurdle races and the long jump in a loss to Lakeview.
Clay Allen, West Middlesex – Took home wins in the 100, 200 and the 400 relay in a sweep of Sharpsville and Kennedy Catholic.
Kyle Trinch, Grove City – Had three event wins in both hurdle races along with the triple jump in a win over Slippery Rock.
Nico Zahniser, Greenville – Won four events in a loss to Hickory. Zahniser took home the 100, 200 and 400 while running a leg in the winning 1,600 relay.
Logan Mooney, Franklin – Won three events, including the 300 hurdles, the triple jump and the 400 relay in a loss to Warren.
Brad Simmons, Warren – Earned wins in the 1,600, the 3,200 and the 3,200 relay in a match win over Franklin.
Collin Tyzinski, Harbor Creek – Won four events in a tri-meet with North East and Iroquois. He won the 100, the 300 hurdles and ran in the winning 400 and 1,600 relays.
Joe Oduho, Cathedral Prep – Won the long jump at the Butler Invitational with a huge jump of 23 feet.
Greg Miaczynski, Central Tech – Won the 200 and the 300 hurdles while taking second in the 110 hurdles at the Harbor Creek Invitational.
Ryan Smathers, North East – Won the 800 and 1,600 with solid teams at the Harbor Creek Invitational. Smathers ran the 800 in 1 minute, 57.15 seconds and the 1,600 in 4:17.23.
Cassie Legal, Lakeview – Won all three throwing events to help the Sailors secure a win over Reynolds.
Jacqueline White, Hickory – Won the 400, 800 and ran a leg in a winning relay to help the Hornettes beat Greenville.
Kelsey Murray, West Middlesex – Was named tournament MVP at the Union Invitational by winning the 100 hurdles and taking third in the 300 hurdles. She also finished second in the 1,600 and third in the 3,200.
Ellis Beardsley, Warren – Won four events in a win over Franklin. Beardsley won the 800 and 1,600 while running a leg in the winning 1,600 and 3,200 relays.
Amber Nerlich, Franklin – Took home four event wins in a match win over Eisenhower. Nerlich won the 100, 200 and was part of the winning 400 and 1,600 relay teams.
Anna Chodubski, McDowell – Chodubski continued her strong start to the season by winning the long jump at the Butler Invitational at 18 feet.
Kristin Markiewicz, Harbor Creek – Won three events at the Harbor Creek Invitational on Saturday. Markiewicz won the triple jump, long jump and ran a leg in the winning 400 relay.
Eve Gardener, Union City – Won the 100 and 200 at the Harbor Creek Invitational.
Chad Ferguson, Greenville tennis – Earned a hard-fought three-set win at No. 1 singles against Hickory.
Nico Teran, Kennedy Catholic tennis – Won at No. 1 singles to help the Golden Eagles remain perfect with a win over Rocky Grove.
Michael Shirey, Cochranton volleyball – Collected 16 kills in a three-game sweep of Conneaut Valley.
Richard Petrella, Fairview tennis – Returned to tennis this spring to pick up big wins over Corry and Warren. His win at No. 1 singles against the Dragons aided in a 3-2 thrilling match win.
Kyle Reib, McDowell lacrosse – Had four goals in a 7-6 overtime win over Indiana.
