Erie Times-News Breakout Team of the Week nominees

Fans can vote for the Breakout Team of the Week on the top right corner of the page. Voting continues through Friday at 4:59 p.m. with the winner being featured Sunday in the Erie Times-News. Teams who have won the award this season are no longer eligible. Fans are encouraged to nominate teams by 5 p.m. each Tuesday.

Sharpsville football – The Blue Devils continue to dominate with a 35-13 win over Farrell to move to 5-0.
Cathedral Prep football – The Ramblers routed Ursuline (Ohio) 47-7 to remain perfect at 5-0.
DuBois football – The Beavers routed Bradford 84-6 this past week to win their fifth straight game.
Slippery Rock football – The Rockets beat East 45-20 to move to 5-0.
Warren football – The Dragons used several big plays to overcome an early deficit and win 60-36 against Oil City.
Mercyhurst Prep girls golf – The Lakers edged Villa Maria by one stroke to win the North East Invitational.
Meadville boys golf – The Bulldogs had several top 10 finishers to win its inaugural golf invitational.
Mercyhurst Prep girls tennis – The Lakers wrapped up the Region 2 championship and they are a heavy favorite to win District 10.
North East cross country – The Grapepickers had a huge week by winning the Region 4 championship before a solid performance at the McQuaid Invitational.
Saegertown boys cross country – The Panthers dominated to win the Cochranton Invitational.
West Middlesex girls cross country - Had several top 10 finishers to win the Cochranton Invitational.
Maplewood volleyball – The Tigers picked up a huge region win over Cochranton to take control of Region 2.
Slippery Rock volleyball - The Rockets continued to dominate Region 3 and are 5-0 this season.
Meadville volleyball – The Bulldogs moved to 8-0 and have been terrific this year.
Fort LeBoeuf volleyball – The Bison won twice last week to improve to 6-0.
Harbor Creek girls soccer – The Huskies are one of only two remaining unbeaten teams in District 10 at 8-0-1.
Wilmington boys soccer – The Greyhounds moved to 8-0-0 this past week and is one of two unbeaten teams left.
Harbor Creek boys soccer - The Huskies moved to 10-0-1 last week.
Mercyhurst Prep boys soccer – Picked up a huge 2-0 win over Fairview.
Mercer girls soccer – Took control of Region 1 with a big 1-0 win over Wilmington.
