Erie Times-News Breakout Team of the Week nominees

Fans can vote for the Breakout Team of the Week on the top right corner of the page. Voting continues through Friday at 4:59 p.m. with the winner being featured Sunday in the Erie Times-News. Teams who have won the award this season are no longer eligible. Fans are encouraged to nominate teams by 5 p.m. each Tuesday.

West Middlesex football – The Big Reds dominated Iroquois 75-13 in the District 10 Class A quarterfinals.
Farrell football – Defeated Mercyhurst Prep 38-7 in the D-10 A quarterfinals.
Sharpsville football – Beat Cochranton 42-6 in a D-10 Class A quarterfinal.
Lakeview football – Routed Eisenhower 36-6 in the D-10 Class A quarterfinals.
General McLane football – Held off Oil City 56-35 in the D-10 Class AAA quarterfinals.
Warren football – Knocked off Conneaut 21-12 in the D-10 Class AAA quarterfinals.
Greenville football – Upset Corry 35-28 in the D-10 Class AA quarterfinals.
Wilmington football – Routed Fairview 47-0 in the D-10 Class AA quarterfinals.
Grove City football – Defeated North East 56-14 in the D-10 Class AA quarterfinals.
Hickory football – Beat Northwestern 48-22 in the D-10 Class AA quarterfinals.
Fort LeBoeuf girls volleyball – The Bison made program history by reaching the PIAA championship Tuesday with a thrilling five-set win over Mars.
Mercyhurst Prep girls soccer – Upset Mars 1-0 in the PIAA quarterfinals on Saturday.
