Titusville

Coach (season/record): Mo Burns (15th/NA)

2011-12 overall record: 12-6

2011-12 region record: 7-3

Top wrestlers lost: Cody Brunst, Nate Warner, Zach Donovan

Top wrestlers returning: Ehrin Lee, Xavier Rose, Kaleb Chase, Derrick Bish, Dalton Burns

Assistant coaches: Joe Anderson, Tom Hancock, Brian Baldwin.

Outlook: Brunst was a District 10 champ, state qualifier and 30-match winner last season, and his experience and leadership will be tough to replace. Warner placed fourth at the regional tournament, narrowly missing a trip to Hershey. With their graduation, the Rockets will need big seasons out of a solid returning nucleus led by junior Ehrin Lee, a 2011-12 D-1o champ who missed the state tournament by one win with a fourth-place regional finish. The Rockets were a solid dual-meet team last season, winning 12 times and earning a spot in the D-10 Class AAA team dual field. They’ve lost some firepower but should be a factor again come February.

Seneca

Coach (season/record): Jack Yaple (23rd/164-145)

2011-12 overall record: 11-10

2011-12 region record: 4-5

Top wrestlers lost: Matt Mongera, Joe Hibbler

Top wrestlers returning: Kevin Pier, Cyle Yaple, Trevor Beiter, Dakota Braine, Brad Nowakowski, Steve Stroup

Assistant  coaches: Hudson Harrison

Outlook: Mongera and Hibbler each turned in top-four finishes at last season’s PIAA tournament to cap outstanding careers and are huge losses for a program that’s made great strides over the past few years. The good news is there’s more talent in the pipeline, led by returning regional qualifier Cyle Yaple, who picked up two regional wins and has 84 career victories and is expected to move up a weight class to 120 pounds this season. Trevor Beiter, penciled in at 182, has 58 career wins, and Kevin Pier, who’s expected to be at 132, has 50 career wins. Newcomers include former PJW state qualifier Chris Hibbler, who could fit in at either 126 or 132, Adam Fish (126-132) and Tory Pusateri (195).
