Erie Times-News Breakout Boys Basketball Player of the Week: Logan Kallay, Erie First

Logan Kallay

The Erie First Christian Academy boys basketball team officially joined District 10 in the offseason. The Eagles enter 2013 at 8-1 and look like a District 10 Class A playoff team.

A big reason for Erie First’s success is 6-foot 2-inch junior Logan Kallay. He is big enough to play forward and quick enough to play guard and spends time at both position for the Eagles. Kallay leads the Eagles with 14 3-pointers and had 24 points in a 72-40 win over Commodore Perry in the Commodore Perry holiday tournament.

Erie First is eligible for the D-10 playoffs this year and has a big game with VisionQuest on Tuesday. If the Eagles keep proving their worth, the D-10 Committee could put them in the D-10 Class A playoffs.
