Erie Times-News Breakout Team of the Week nominees

Fans can vote for the Breakout Team of the Week on the top right corner of the page. Voting continues through Friday at 4:59 p.m. with the winner being featured Sunday in the Erie Times-News. Teams who have won the award this season are no longer eligible. Fans are encouraged to nominate teams by 5 p.m. each Tuesday.

Fort LeBoeuf wrestling – The Bison officially wrapped up the Region 3 championship after a solid third-place finish in Hershey.
Cathedral Prep hockey - The Ramblers moved to 12-4-0 with a 6-3 win over Moon on Monday.
Harbor Creek hockey – The Huskies are in the thick of the PIHL playoff race at 15-2-2
Reynolds wrestling – Had the best performance among District 10 teams at the team state championships with a second-place finish in Class AA.
Saegertown wrestling - Made their first trip to Hershey for team wrestling and made it all the way to Saturday before falling to Fort LeBoeuf in the third round of consolations.
Fairview swimming - Wrapped up the Region 2 title in boys and girls.
West Middlesex boys basketball – The Big Reds moved to 11-0 in Region to clinch the region title.
Mercyhurst Prep boys basketball - Recovered from an upset to Fairview to win the Region 4 championship.
Saegertown boys basketball – The Panthers have won 15 in a row and the Region 3 title.
Titusville boys basketball - The Rockets are on a seven-game winning streak since a 55-44 loss to Mercyhurst Prep to move into second place in Region 4.
General McLane boys basketball – The Lancers picked up another big win Tuesday against Strong Vincent to lock up a share of the Region 6 title.
Hickory boys basketball - The Hornets made their way through a tough field to win the Region 5 championship.
Girard boys basketball – The YellowJackets have won seven in a row since an upset by East and have a chance to win a share of the Region 6 title Friday.
Commodore Perry girls basketball - The Panthers have won five of their past six games to move into second place in Region 1 and likely earn a playoff spot.
Sharpsville girls basketball – The Blue Devils have clinched a share of the Region 2 title and are one win from the title outright.
Saegertown girls basketball - The Panthers clinched a share of the Region 3 title and still has a chance to claim the region outright.
General McLane girls basketball - The Lancers are rolling with 19 wins and need one more to win the Region 4 title outright.
Franklin girls basketball - The Knights have won 13 in a row and have won the Region 5 title.
Villa Maria basketball - The Victors moved to 9-0 in Region 6 Tuesday to clinch the region title.
