Erie Times-News Breakout Team of the Week nominees

Fans can vote for the Breakout Team of the Week on the top right corner of the page. Voting continues through Friday at 4:59 p.m. with the winner being featured Sunday in the Erie Times-News. Teams who have won the award this season are no longer eligible. Fans are encouraged to nominate teams by 5 p.m. each Tuesday.

Saegertown wrestling - Dominated at the Section 1 tournament.
Reynolds wrestling – Won the Section 2 tournament but almost 200 points.
Greenville wrestling – Kept its solid season going with the Section 3 title.
Fairview swimming/diving – Capped another perfect season in boys and girls at 14-0 in Region 2.
Kennedy Catholic boys basketball – Finished up a perfect 8-0 in Region 1 to win the region title.
West Middlesex boys basketball – The Big Reds dominated in Region 2 to win the region title.
Saegertown boys basketball – The Panthers finished a perfect 12-0 season in Region 3.
Mercyhurst Prep boys basketball – The Lakers won the Region 4 title with a solid 13-1 region season.
Hickory boys basketball - The Hornets dominated Region 5.
Girard boys basketball – The YellowJackets swept General McLane to claim a share of the Region 6 title.
East boys basketball - The Warriors picked up a huge win over Harbor Creek to make the playoffs.
Sharpsville girls basketball – The Blue Devils rolled to an 11-1 record in region play to win the Region 2 title.
Saegertown girls basketball - Won the Region 3 title.
General McLane girls basketball - The Lancers survived a brutal region schedule to win Region 4.
Franklin girls basketball – The Knights moved to 21-1 this season with an overtime win over North East.
Villa Maria basketball – The Victors won 20 games and went 10-0 in the region to win the Region 6 title.
McDowell girls basketball - Went a perfect 6-0 in Region 7 to win the region title.
