Erie Times-News Breakout Team of the Week nominees

Fans can vote for the Breakout Team of the Week on the top right corner of the page. Voting continues through Friday at 4:59 p.m. with the winner being featured Sunday in the Erie Times-News. Teams who have won the award this season are no longer eligible. Fans are encouraged to nominate teams by 5 p.m. each Tuesday.

Fairview girls lacrosse – Knocked off McDowell 6-4 in a rivalry match.
Warren track and field – Swept the boys and girls titles at the Harbor Creek Invitational.
Corry track and field – The Beavers have been terrific this season, including a sweep of Meadville on Tuesday. Corry’s win in the girls meet was Meadville’s first dual loss in years.
Meadville boys volleyball – The Bulldogs knocked off McDowell in four sets to move to 5-0.
Warren boys tennis – The Dragons are 6-0 and in control of Region 2.
Cathedral Prep tennis - The Ramblers edged McDowell 3-2 in a rivalry showdown Tuesday.
Kennedy Catholic baseball – Won two straight region games to move to 2-0 in Region 1.
Saegertown baseball – The Panthers are dominating this season and are 2-0 in Region 3.
Titusvile baseball - The Rockets moved to 4-0 and are 1-0 in Region 4.
Fairview baseball – Beat North East 4-1 in a big Region 5 showdown.
Grove City baseball – The Eagles moved to 6-1 and look like the favorite in Region 6.
Harbor Creek baseball – The Huskies are 4-1 with the only loss coming to New York power Fredonia.
Cathedral Prep baseball – The Ramblers beat Strong Vincent 3-0 to move to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in Region 8.
Wilmington softball – The Greyhounds moved to 7-0 on Monday and are having a terrific season.
Saegertown softball – The Panthers moved to 2-0 in the region and are 7-2 overall.
Fairview softball – The Tigers are 5-0 this season and in first place in Region 4 at 3-0.
Titusville softball – The Rockets are 2-0 in Region 5.
Corry softball – The Beavers moved to 3-0 in Region 6 and look like a favorite to win the region title.
Warren softball – The Dragons moved to 4-0 this week.
McDowell softball – The Trojans are perfect at 4-0 this season.
